Stephen Compton

Stephen is an acoustic consultant in the Christchurch office joining Marshall Day Acoustics in 2022. He has more than twenty years’ experience as a live-sound engineer, an AV recording and post-production engineer, technician, educator, and nine years as a builder/foreman. He is also completing a PhD on audio engineer choice, critical listening, and hearing management. For Stephen, joining MDA is birthed from a desire to improve people’s audio and musical experiences, as well as their health and well-being. He is expanding his skills into multiple areas of acoustic consultancy practice.
