Martin Butyn

Martin is an Associate in the Melbourne office specialising in building acoustic design. With a Bachelor of Science (Physics) and a Masters prelim (Physics, Acoustics) from Monash University, he has a wide range of experience across all areas of acoustics, including architectural acoustics, sound insulation, building services noise control, industrial noise, and environmental noise assessment and control. With a thorough understanding of construction practices, he is often engaged on difficult and challenging projects where ‘out of the box’ thinking is required.

He managed the Sydney office during an interim year before returning to Melbourne in 2010 as a senior member of the building acoustics group. Martin has also spent time in the Hong Kong office to work on large-scale construction projects and continues to divide his time between Melbourne and Hong Kong.
