Joël Berdoulay
Joël Berdoulay is a Director and the founder of Marshall Day Acoustics France, specialising in building acoustics and room acoustics.
Joël graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Poitiers (France) in 2004 with an engineering diploma but his career at Marshall Day Acoustics began a year earlier as an overseas work experience student. After graduating he worked for seven years in an acoustic consultancy in Toulouse before rejoining Marshall Day Acoustics. Having worked in Auckland and Melbourne offices, he returned to France in 2013 and set up the first French office, in the French Riviera. In 2023 he relocated and set up a new office in Bordeaux.
With the experience gained in France, New Zealand and Australia, Joël specialises in building acoustics, room acoustics, environmental noise assessments, industrial noise control and OHS noise exposure. His experience spans several sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, performing arts, music schools, recording studios and sports facilities.
Qualifications and Memberships
- M.Eng - Master's degree in Engineering, ENSIP, Poitiers, France
- Member of GIAc, French associated of acoustical consultancies
- Member of SFA, Société Française d'Acoustique
