Cameron Hough
Cameron is an Associate in the Melbourne office. He joined the Marshall Day team in 2022, bringing over 15 years’ experience in acoustics, after previously working at Arup on a range of projects across Australia, Singapore, China, South Korea and Europe. He graduated with a BEng-Scholars (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in building services and sustainability, and took additional subjects in acoustics and sound composition. He has also completed short courses in sound design, lighting design and theatre production at the National Institute of Dramatic Art.
Cameron has broad experience across multiple areas of acoustics, with a particular specialisation in acoustic design for performing arts venues, drawing on his background as a classically-trained orchestral musician (violin and viola). He continues to play regularly with orchestras and chamber ensembles, including six years as concertmaster of the Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra. This experience allows him to undertake holistic acoustic design for venues, incorporating both artistic and technical factors.
