Brendon Shanks
Brendon Shanks is a consultant based in Dunedin, with experience in both environmental noise and building acoustics. Brendon’s interest in acoustics stems from a passion for choral music and a background in physics.
Brendon started with Marshall Day in 2007, leaving in 2011 to live in London for a five year period. During his time in the UK he worked as a Consultant at Jacobs SKM, as a Senior Acoustic Engineer at Sandy Brown Associates, and as a professional choral singer.
Brendon has managed the acoustic design of building projects, such as apartments, hotels and office fit outs, providing collaborative input to the design team. He has also provided planning support for projects in the mining and power sectors, and has presented evidence as an expert witness at Council hearings and in the Environment Court of New Zealand.
