The new Warner Music Studio sits within a newly expanded workplace in Kowloon Bay and was completed in early 2021. The Studio includes a live room and a control room, which has been designed for live-streaming, broadcasting and demo recording. Marshall Day Acoustics was engaged by Warner Music as the acoustic consultant for the Warner Music office fit-out project.
The growth in virtual events is likely to set new demands on live-streaming capabilities, especially during the post-pandemic era. The live room and control room set a new benchmark for broadcasting and live-streaming of popular and rock music, as well as music promo.
Our Scope
Marshall Day Acoustics provided full acoustic design services for the entire project, including room acoustic design, mechanical services noise control, and sound insulation design from the concept design, detailed design, tendering, construction, right through to commissioning.
Challenges
Key challenges on this project involved establishing appropriate acoustic design criteria for the Studio based on the existing commercial building. We were able to overcome these challenges by closely collaborating with the Project Team, and the end-users to provide cost-effective acoustic treatment recommendations for the project.
