Our Scope
Marshall Day provided full acoustic and theatre systems design for this new high school theatre.
Timelines
This project commenced in January 2018 and the new performing arts centre was officially opened in November 2019.
Challenges
The theatre site is located at the top of a hill, directly adjacent to the Leach Highway, a major freight transport link to the Fremantle Port. The noisy external environment was, therefore, a critical consideration in the design of the building envelope. Our early involvement in the project meant we were able to work with the design team to select a favourable building orientation and façade construction type which provided a cost-efficient solution and simplified the ongoing design process.
